Our center aims to create innovative interdisciplinary research findings of social medicine and life science, that is, “research findings none but TMIMS can create” by conducting social medicine research including large-scale cohort study that needs continuity and by cooperating closely with project teams in our institute and Research Center for Genome and Medical Sciences. It is also our mission to initiatively address important issues such as care for intractable disease and dementia that directly link to the Tokyo metropolitan government and feedback the research findings to the citizen of Tokyo as timely as possible. We support the realization of high-quality study through consultations (e.g., the design of clinical epidemiology study in collaboration with our institute and metropolitan hospitals, biostatistics of basic life science, etc.).
