We are recruiting full-time researchers in the field of functional genomics and bioinformatics.

東京都医学総合研究所 ゲノム医学研究センターでは、ゲノム機能に関する基礎研究と共に、病院等と連携した臨床研究を実施しています。この度、バイオインフォマティクス分野の研究員を２名募集します。

研究概要 (Researches)

遺伝子発現の制御や複雑なRNAアイソフォームといった転写制御に関する基礎的課題に対して、転写開始点の高解像度解析 (CAGE, Cap Analysis Of Gene Expression)や一細胞発現解析、空間発現解析、ロングリード、大規模並列レポーターアッセイ、ゲノム編集といった実験測定技術と、統計解析や機械学習、ゲノムブラウザー・データベースといった情報技術を用いて研究を進めています。また、これらの技術を臨床的課題へ応用した連携研究を病院等と共に実施しています。

We are conducting research on fundamental challenges in transcriptional regulation, such as regulation of gene expression and complex RNA isoforms, using experimental technologies such as high-resolution analysis of transcription start sites (CAGE, Cap Analysis Of Gene Expression), single-cell gene expression, spatial transcriptome, long read sequencing, massively parallel reporter assays, and (epi)genome editing, and information technologies such as statistical analysis, machine learning, genome browsers, and databases. We are also conducting translational researches with hospitals and other institutions by applying these technologies.

業務内容 (Job description)

当研究室での研究を、生命情報科学（バイオインフォマティクス）の観点より牽引あるいは実施する研究員を募ります。ヒト、非ヒト霊長類、マウス等を対象とした網羅的データ解析による転写制御領域（プロモーターやエンハンサー）の同定とその機能解明、疾患におけるRNA分子全長塩基配列の解明、新たなデータ解析技術開発、ゲノム機能データベース構築、これらを核とした共同研究の展開、新しい発想に基づく測定実験立ち上げへの貢献や、独自の発想に基づく研究の推進などが期待されます。

We are seeking researchers to lead or conduct research in the field of bioinformatics and genomics in our laboratory. The scope of research includes the identification and characterization of transcriptional regulatory regions (such ash promoters and enhancers) through data-driven analysis on humans, non-human primates, mice, and others, as well as the elucidation of the complete structures of RNA isoforms in diseases, development of technologies and databases, collaborative researches by using these technologies.
