Julie Le Romancer has returned to France.She worked very hard on her research during her short stay of about three months. We held a farewell party for her.

Three graduate students who applied to join our laboratory have successfully been admitted to Department of Computational Biology and Medical Sciences, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo. Congratulations! We look forward to conducting research together.

Sasanuma joined a conference in Montpellier, organized by Profs. Bernald de Massy and Kazufumi Mochizuki.
Many famous researchers came from France and Japan.

8 lab members participated in the 28th Workshop on DNA Replication, Recombination, and Repair(3R workshop 2025), held in Atami, Japan. Sasanuma chaired a session; Kano and Iguchi gave oral presentations; and Yamada and Sano presented posters.

Apr. 2025

Sasanuma and Yamada attended the DDR meeting in Ehime. The meeting featured presentations on a wide range of research, from molecular mechanisms of DNA repair to tumor immunity, and lively discussions.

Mar. 2025

Yamasaki-san, a master's student, received the Sasakawa Science Research Encouragement Award. He was selected as one of about 15 recipients out of about 300 recipients. Congratulations!

Project Leader Hiroyuki Sasanuma appeared on the NHK TV program “あしたが変わる トリセツショー”. Using live cell imaging, he demonstrated that acetaldehyde, a metabolite of alcohol, causes DNA damage. Thanks to everyone in our laboratory for their cooperation.

We attended 3R&3C international meeting in Fukuoka. Sasanuma and Masai-sensei were members of organizer and gave talks.

Happy to announce that Yamazaki-san has been awarded the Outstanding Poster Prize at the prestigious 3R&3C International Conference. This conference, originating from Japan, attracts distinguished researchers from around the world. Winning the Outstanding Poster Prize at such a renowned event is a great honor. Congrats, Kosuke!
